The POPS platform offers expertise to develop transcriptome analysis through the use of high-throughput RNA sequencing.

  • Project design in interaction with the collaborator (technology, planning, ...)
  • Technical realization and production of RNAseq data
  • Bioinformatics and statistical analyses adapted to provide usable results
  • Results interpretation
  • Submission in databases

Strong points

  • Versatility: Diversity of organisms.

Plurality of samples (type of culture, type of organs, tissues...).

Adaptability to the number of samples (test, medium and high throughput).

Proposed applications

  • Stranded sequencing of polyAdenylated RNA (the coding strand).
  • Unstranded sequencing of polyAdenylated RNA.
  • Sequencing of small RNA: miRNA, siRNA...
  • Sequencing of long reads (collaborative projects)
  • Stranded sequencing of non-polyAdenylated RNA (depletion).
  • Microtranscriptomics or sequencing of very small amounts of RNA (from 75pg total RNA).
  • Metatranscriptomics or transcriptome sequencing of several species from the same sample.
  • Footprints.
  • Single cell: under development.

Protocols can be customized according to specific needs

Sequencing options:

  • NextSeq 500 Sequencer
