Licences

La plateforme EPITRANS exploite plus de 150 000 lignées M2, sur 13 espèces cultivées. Plus de 2000 régions génomiques d’intérêts ont été criblées, majoritairement sur la tomate, le melon, le concombre et le pois. Plusieurs licences concernant des allèles issus de cette approche d’ingénierie génétique ont été concédées à des entreprises semencières contribuant aux financements de projets de recherche ou au fonctionnement de la plateforme.

Par exemple, sur les cucurbitacées, la plateforme EPITRANS a créé deux types morphologiques sexuels qui ont été proposés à différentes compagnies semencières en leur concédant des licences. Quatre sont signées actuellement.

D’autre part, la plateforme EPITRANS a découvert et mis au point le système de digestion d’hétéroduplexe par l’endonucléase ENDO1, qui a été breveté et dont 3 licences ont été concédées à BenchBio (Inde) et Aelred (France) pour l’utilisation du système et à Serial Genetics pour la commercialisation de l’enzyme.
