Role of cover crops rhizobacterial communities in agriculture

SYMUNITY team / Pascal Ratet

Plant associations including legume plants can be used in intercropping and allow a better management of fertilization, and of the control of pests and weeds in the following culture. These plant associations could also represent a tool for the establishment of a beneficial microbiome for the development of cash crops. Within the framework of a collaboration with the company Ceriences (CIFRE thesis and CASDAR project) we are studying the influence of intercropping and the diversity of its components on the microbiome of subsequent crops.
