What's new on the Cytology-Imaging platform?

The AxioZoom (Zeiss) and its ApoTome module are installed !!!

The Zeiss Axio Zoom.V16 combines the advantages of standard microscopes and stereomicroscopes.

Indeed, the Axio Zoom.V16 allows a stereo vision as well as to manipulate and observe large samples. It also allows achieving magnifications equivalent to a x40 lens thanks to its motorized optical zoom system, while maintaining a very good resolution.

The Axio Zoom.V16 is equipped for observations in dia or epi-scopic white light. It also has a fluorescent light source that allows higher fluorescence brightness than stereomicroscopes in large field.

The structured illumination ApoTome.2 module allows creating optical sections of fluorescent samples and to display only the focal plane of images.

With its 2 cameras (RGB and monochrome colors) combined with the ZEN Blue software, current analyses as well as multidimensional imaging applications are possible.

The arrival of this new equipment on the Imagery facility of IPS2 broadens the range of possible analyses and allows new alternatives for an improved quality research.
