The POPS transcriptomics platform: custom RNA analyses

Focus on the POPS platform

The Paris-Saclay Plant Transcriptomics Platform (POPS) offers to academic or private laboratories transcriptome analysis tools by high-throughput RNA sequencing or RNA-seq. We are specialized in the analysis of plants, whether model or crops. The service includes the generation of RNA-seq data, bioinformatics and statistical analyzes, as well as advices on the interpretation of results. We therefore support our collaborators from the experimental design to the interpretation of the data. The platform has been certified for all of its activities according to the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard since 2012. In order to offer to customers the analysis best suited to their biological questions, we have equipment as well as bioinformatic and statistical analysis tools allowing the construction of de novo transcriptomes, the analysis of the accumulation of RNAs, poly-adenylated or not, of small RNAs (miRNAs, siRNAs, ribo-seq..), and of poly-adenylated RNAs from very small starting amounts (up to 50pg). For tissue-specific expression analyses, we also offer transcriptome analyzes after laser micro-dissection or in single cell with the Chromium technology (10x Genomics). For instance, in collaboration with the STRESS team at IPS2, we recently studied the individual behavior of thousands of cells from Arabidopsis thaliana leaves during infection with the phytopathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas syringae. Using the 10X Genomics technology, we were able to highlight the heterogeneity of plant responses within different cell populations, thus allowing the drawing of a new and original battlefield between the plant and the pathogen (Delannoy et al., bioRxiv 2023).
